THE CENTRE FOR WATER SYSTEMS, UNIVERSITY OF EXETER
PROMOTING ENGAGEMENT: DELIVERING RESULTS
To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the University of Exeter’s Centre for Water Systems we are holding an INDUSTRY AWARENESS EVENT from 5 to 6.30 pm (followed by a buffet reception) on Wednesday 27th November 2013 to which practitioners in the water industry and academic colleagues are warmly invited.
The Centre for Water Systems has long been recognised for its pioneering research and consultancy work in the fields of urban water management and hydroinformatics, with core skills in hydraulics, systems analysis, modelling and optimisation. We have expertise in water distribution, sewerage and urban drainage, urban flooding, asset management, water efficiency, water quality, decision support, real-time management, sustainability, climate change resilience and SuDS. In fact, we work in all parts of the urban water cycle.
However, we realise that many people may very well not know all that much about us and what we can offer them and their business. So, this meeting aims to both showcase some of the Centre’s excellent research outcomes and training opportunities and to listen to research, training and recruitment needs.
The programme will consist of short talks about the Centre’s work by members of the University and by industrial colleagues who will explain how they have benefitted from collaborating with the Centre. This will be followed by a light buffet reception with a chance to meet everyone working in the Centre.
The meeting will take place in the Harrison Building at the University of Exeter, where we are based.
Places are limited, so please contact Alix Slater (a.j.slater@exeter.ac.uk) by 1st November for further information and to book a place at the meeting.
