Apply for a studentship

We are supporting around 14 fully-funded (UK/EU only) 4-year PhD studentships commencing in September 2017.  We can no longer accept applications from international candidates (non-EU).

A list of the projects we are recruiting to for September 2017 entry can be found here.

The first year of the studentship includes a 6 month research project, and a substantial programme of training. Students will also follow a module of their choice from a wide range of taught modules, and participate in academic and personal development skills-based workshops, together with creativity events, conference-style meetings and visits to industry.   Full details of the programme are available here, or email us for a copy of our annual report.

Note that applications are processed as soon as they are received - they are not held until the deadline. Recruitment opens in November each year. Interviews start immediately with initial offers made from December.  You are therefore advised to apply as soon as possible.
