Work with us

Industry, governmental and other external funding institutions

Would you like to stay informed on latest developments in our functional and meta-materials research, explore your own research targets, or simply support the training of future employees in your subject area?

We have a variety of funding models adjusted to the needs of large companies and SMEs, ranging from one year commitments to kick off new research (~£8,000) to fully-funded 4 year studentships with IP ownership (~£100,000).

Please get in touch with Professor Alastair Hibbins via metamaterials@exeter.ac.uk or or 01392 726568

Academics

Are you working in metamaterials or a related area and wondering whether joint supervision of a PhD project could be beneficial for research progress?

Are you interested in PhD student exchange to provide the next generation with insights in other HE institutions and support their training?

Would you like to give a guest lecture at the University of Exeter or host one of our academics to provide a guest lecture at your institution?

If you'd like to establish or strengthen a collaboration, please get in touch with Dr Anja Roeding via metamaterials@exeter.ac.uk or 01392 724132 – or contact the academic who works in your area of interest directly: find their details on our research theme pages.

Schools

Our postgraduate researchers engage pro-actively with the wider public through outreach and public engagement activities at schools and science fairs and by using media to make higher education more accessible.

Find out more about how they can work with you on our Public engagement page.

If you’d be interested in their support, please contact Dr Anja Roeding via metamaterials@exeter.ac.uk or or 01392 724132
