Bsc Mathematics with Economics

Exeter was a highly ranked University when I joined and since then has improved to an even higher ranking. The University gave me the opportunity to include Economics in my degree which was my ideal choice. My aim was to develop a wide range of skills while I am at the University and the course at Exeter has offered me just that as I was able to incorporate different subjects.

Lectures are well planned and structured in a way that it makes even complicated subjects much simpler. There are many support systems in place in the College that helps to manage your degree and time at the University. The on-line learning system always has notes and extra points to support your learning.

Exeter on its own is a fantastic city and is an ideal location as it has got good connection to other student cities where your friends might be studying. It is close to the coast and countryside, so it is easy to take a break from your busy student life. The social life is varied and exciting with huge number of opportunities to meet loads of people. Maths socials are a great way to meet your course friends but you also have other societies which allow you to meet students from different schools in the University.

I am currently applying for actuarial positions in graduate employer firms. The mathematics degree at Exeter has provided me with vital numeracy skills and a strong economic & statistical background which is important for an Actuarial career.
