Tim is a lecturer in applied Mathematics. He joined the University of Exeter in September 2007. Prior to his appointment at Exeter University he has worked a researcher at the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology and at the BP Institute for multiphase flow, University of Cambridge. Tim’s research focuses on applying mathematical and statistical techniques to climate-related questions. His current work is on data assimilation in the terrestrial carbon cycle; cointegration (time series analysis); land-atmosphere interactions diagnosed from satellite observations; feedbacks in the climate system; and Maximum Entropy Production ("MEP") in planetary atmospheres. In his spare time Tim enjoys sailing.
