I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Biomedial Modelling and Analysis. My research focuses on mathematical and computational biology, with a particular interest in the interactions of large-scale brain networks.
My doctoral research was focused on modelling perturbations to the brain networks involved in adult birdsong production. I focused on the zebra finch, which produces a learned, roughly invariant motor pattern that is oftern used as a model for sequential behavior and human speech production. Currently, I am working on the application of network theory and dynamical systems to analyze brain data derived from MEG and EEG and develop biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment of disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and epilepsy.
