Henri Poincaré said that "mathematics is the art of giving the same name to different things". It is the timeless skill of abstracting and calculation that finds uses in the most unusual places. Computer science, by contrast, has opened new possibilities in science and technology that were not dreamt of only a generation ago. Our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are designed to give you a sound background in these subjects as well as stretching you to think in new ways about the world.
