I was awarded a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Exeter in December 2011 and graduated with a BSc (hons) in Computer Science from the same University in 2006. I am a Lecturer (E&S) within Computer Science with the additional roles of ITMB programme lead (BSc and MSc) and College Outreach Coordinator.
Research Interests
My research focuses on the different types of collectives that can exist and the ways in which they can be classified and formally represented. I am particularly interested in the collective behaviour that can be evident in spatiotemporal behvaiour of animals and humans.
I am a member of the Society for the Study of Artificial Intelligence and Simulation of Behaviour (AISB), the British Computing Society (BCS) and the International Association of Ontology and its Applications (IAOA).
Other
I coordinate and run a programme of Computer Science activities for schools. More information can be found here.
