Research Interests
Statistical analysis of climate:
* cyclone and hurricane risk;
* calibration of extreme events in climate models;
* statistical modelling of extreme meteo-climatic events, prediction, uncertainty.
Dynamical Systems (theory & applications):
* dynamical systems approach to atmospheric phenomena: general atmospheric circulation, low-frequency variability;
* codimension two bifurcations, resonances, homoclinic and heteroclinic phenomena;
* algorithms for invariant tori and their bifurcations.
Qualifications
PhD in Mathematics, University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
"Laurea" (MMath) in Mathematics, University of Camerino, Italy.
