Career
I received my PhD from the University of Oxford in 2005. Afterwards, I worked briefly at CEH Wallingford, before moving to the University of California, Berkeley for two years. I moved to Exeter in 2007, first working at the Met Office for three years before moving to CEMPS in 2010.
Research
I am interested in the processes that control large-scale climate and climate change. Recently, I have worked on constraints on large-scale precipitation and land-sea temperature contrast under climate change. I have also done climate change attribution work.
