Overview

Professor Svetlana Stevovic, based at the University of Belgrade's Innovation Centre of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, is a distinguished professor and researcher with world knowledge and experience in water resources. Professor Stevovic has two prestigious titles: Full-Time Professor in the field of university education and Principal Research Fellow in the field of science, elected by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Development. She is also a member of the Serbian Royal Academy of Science. Professor Stevovic's extensive theoretical and practical world knowledge in the area of water, renewable energy and environment is proven on numerous international multidisciplinary multipurpose projects in North and South America, Asia, Africa and the Balkans.

Professor Stevovic has over 35 years’ experience. Following her bachelor degree in civil engineering at the University of Belgrade, Hydraulic Engineering and Water Environmental Engineering, she was employed by Energoproject – Hydroenginering, designing and managing hydro energy system projects. One of these was Mosul Hydro Project in Iraq - the third largest investment in the world in 1990.  Through her master degree and doctorate Professor Stevovic has been continuously improving her knowledge in the direction of searching modern scientific methodological approach to sustainable water management and environmentally friendly solutions and she moved to the University, disseminating her knowledge on the highest possible level.
