I graduated with a BSc degree in Materials Engineering (Industrial Metallurgy) from the Iran University of Science and Technology and a MSc degree in Materials Science and Engineering (Metal Forming) from Sharif University of Technology. I am currently working on a PhD project in Mechanical engineering involving Selective Laser Melting of Metals and Metal Matrix Composites. This is also associated with an industrial collaborative research project between the TWI Ltd, University of Exeter, EADS UK, Bombardier Aerospace plc, TISICS Ltd and Materialise UK. The aim is to develop laser assisted additive manufacture methods for the rapid prototyping and manufacturing of new classes of high value cost effective metallic parts composing of Al, Ti, stainless steel, and etc.
