Prakash joined the University of Exeter in 2010. Prior to his appointment at Exeter University he worked as a post-doctoral researcher in Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland for a few years. Prakash’s research interests are broadly in the use of intelligent sensing for effective maintenance and management of civil infrastructure systems such as bridges. He is also interested in applied computing in civil engineering design and construction.
Prakash is involved in the teaching and delivering of structural engineering modules in the undergraduate civil engineering programme. He will also be teaching in a few modules for the new MSc in Structural Engineering that will begin in September 2015.
