Dr. Kripakaran received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2000. He then obtained his masters and doctorate degrees from North Carolina State University, USA in 2006. After working as a post-doctoral researcher in Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland for a few years, he joined the University of Exeter in March 2010.
Research interests
His research interests are broadly in the use of intelligent sensing for effective maintenance and management of civil infrastructure systems such as bridges. He is also interested in applied computing in civil engineering design and construction.
