Overview

Offiong N. Mitchel is a current PhD researcher at the University of Exeter, College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences. He is exploring the use of Machine Learning approaches to manage Smart Water Distribution System. The research is bordered around Machine Learning approaches and how they can be harnessed to solve emerging problems in SWDS installations. The Deep Belief Network (DBN) model will be explored in course of his research. This research is in collaboration with eWaterpay, an organization currently managing smart water installations in some countries in Africa.

Mitchel has a BSc. and MSc. in Computer Science and has been working with Nasarawa State University Nigeria as an academic demonstrator and a researcher. In his spare time, Mitchel plays scrabble.
