Ms Karen Faulkner
Karen graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2008 with a BAI in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering. Following graduation, she worked in the offshore geotechnical industry, where her work ranged from the initial data acquisition stage through to engineering analysis for use in FEED assessments.
In September 2016, she joined the University of Exeter as a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. James Brownjohn, in the Vibration Engineering Section. Her main research interest is quantifying the resilience of the built environment to extreme weather events, through direct field measurements of environmental conditions and structural impacts.
