Kimberly Bryan commenced her PhD at the University of Exeter in January 2014. Prior to this, she worked as an environmental consultant at Environmental Solutions Limited, one of the Caribbean's leading environmental consultancy firms. Kimberly gained significant expertise in the conduct of environmental impact assessments, environmental monitoring of waste water treatment plants and housing construction, climate change adaptation policy and strategy, disaster risk management and permitting and regulatory processes. She has worked on multi-disciplinary projects in major collaborations with governments, private sector and international multi-lateral organizations throughout the Caribbean. Kimberly has been a certified member of the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice (IPEP) since 2010. Kimberly was educated both in Jamaica and the UK - BSc Geology 2004, University of the West Indies; MSc Sustainable Environmental Management 2006 - University of Greenwich).
Kimberly is working under the project "Safe and SuRe: a new paradigm for urban water management" in the centre for water systems (http://www.safeandsure.info). Her research will focus on the socio-technical aspects of urban water management systems with specific focus on water user sustainability and resilience in an uncertain future.
