Mr Jalil Kwad
Jalil Kwad is a PhD student with particular interests in assessment and management of civil infrastructure systems such as steel bridges, novel composites materials in the civil engineering and construction field.
Prior to enrolling at Exeter, he worked for three years as an assistant lecturer at Al-Anbar University, Civil Engineering Department. He holds a master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Al-Anbar University and an HD. in building and construction engineering, specialised in computer aided water networks design and analysis engineering from the University of Technology, and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Al-Anbar University.
In 2014, Jalil was awarded a scholarship by the Higher Committee for Education Development in Iraq (HCED IRAQ) to conduct a Ph.D. study at the University of Exeter Vibration Engineering Section. Jalil Kwad lives with his wife and his three children in Exeter.
