Dr Guanhua Zhang
Dr Guanhua Zhang is working on the Auxtrusion project in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences. He gained a B.Sc (Hons) in Environmental Construction Surveying and a M.Sc in Sustainable Construction at the University of Plymouth, a Ph.D in micro- and nano scaled phase change materials in thermal energy storage at the University of Warwick.
Research interests:Experimental and theoretical study of energy storage, conversion and transport mechanisms at micro- and nano scales, with applications to thermal storage systems, heat exchangers and thermal control systems; theoretical and experimental investigation of novel materials, especially auxetic materials, including their processing, fabrication, structure and properties and their engineering and industrial applications. My particular expertise and interests are in fabrication of micro- and nano- scaled materials from a renewable, conversion and sustainability perspective.
