Mr Ahmed S. Mohammed



Ahmed is a PhD student in the College of Engineering, Mathematics, and Physical Sciences (CEMPS) in Exeter University. His research work involves using probabilistic approach for vibration serviceability assessment  of civil structures due to multiple-pedestrian loading, under the supervision of Prof. Alex Pavic and Prof. Paul Reynolds.

Ahmed graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering in the University of Mosul/Iraq in 2009 when he was ranked 1st in his class. Following that, He was awarded a fully funded scholarship from the Higher Committee for Education Development in Iraq (HCED) to do his Master degree in the UK. He finished His MSc course in the University of Sheffield with distinction in 2011. After graduation, he went back to his home country, and he was appointed as an assistant lecturer in the University of Mosul after spending several months of working as a Structural Engineer in construction sites.

In September 2015 Ahmed joined the Vibration Engineering Section (VES) as a PhD student after being awarded a fully funded scholarship from the College.
