Arnaud obtained a PhD in Molecular Physics at the University of Franche-Comtee (France). He then joined the atomistic Simulation Group (now Centre) of Queen's University (Belfast) as a Psi-k network PDRA. Three years later, he moved to the Chemistry department of the University of Bath, where he worked as a NERC Research Fellow for four years. He has been at Exeter since September 2006.
