We take a system-level approach to address the key technical challenges associated with energy harvesting-powered wireless sensing/self-charging mobile technologies, including energy harvesting, power management and wireless sensing. Combining the cutting-edge research in these areas, we deliver high-performance energy-autonomous systems that meet industrial needs in a wide range of applications. 

Our research focus is to:

  • increase  power harvested for generation of usable power for applications
  • decrease  power-consumptions of  power management and wireless sensor nodes
  • integrate a system as a whole, through  efficiently and effectively designed electric power management interfaces between the harvester and the wireless sensors, to deal with  the mismatch between energy harvested and energy demanded by the end of users
  • develop high-performance energy harvesting powered wireless sensing technology demonstrators  for  a wide range of applications
