The Centre for Water Systems celebrated its 15th Anniversary with an Industry Awareness Day

To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the University of Exeter’s Centre for Water Systems held an ‘industry awareness day on Wednesday 27th November 2013.

The Centre for Water Systems has long been recognised for its pioneering research and consultancy work in the fields of urban water management and hydroinformatics, with core skills in hydraulics, systems analysis, modelling and optimisation. We have expertise in water distribution, sewerage and urban drainage, urban flooding, asset management, water efficiency, water quality, decision support, real-time management, sustainability, climate change resilience and SuDS. In fact, we work in all parts of the urban water cycle.

However, we realise that many may very well not know all that much about us and what we can offer businesses.  So, this meeting aimed to both showcase some of the Centre’s excellent research outcomes and training opportunities, and to listen to research, training and recruitment needs.

The programme consisted of short talks about the Centre’s work by members of the University and by industrial colleagues who will explain how they have benefitted from collaborating with the Centre.  This was followed by a light buffet reception with a chance to meet everyone working in the Centre.
