Michele Romano has won an award for the Best Postgraduate Impact at a recent ceremony at the University. It was awarded for his work developing a new event recognition system for water distribution networks.

Professor Dragan SaviÄ‡, Head of Engineering at the University of Exeter, has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng), the highest honour for a UK engineer.
The Centre for Water Systems will be hosting the International Conference on Flood Resilience: Experiences in Asia and Europe, from 5th to 7th September 2013. Professionals will gather in Exeter from around the world to discuss the latest research advances and practices in the development and implemenation of resilience measures and flood management plans.
