RESEARCH
My research interests centre on crustal growth processes at convergent plate margins and the tectonic exhumation of high pressure metabasites. I utilize isotope geochronology, geochemistry, and petrologic investigations in my research. My current research is a field-based project in the eastern Klamath Mountains of northern California. I am investigating processes responsible for exhumation of high pressure metamorphic rocks at a Pacific-type convergent margin. Specifically, the timing and processes responsible for exhumation of a large block (~3000 km3) of previously subducted oceanic lithosphere. The objective of this project is to ascertain information on the structural and temporal evolution of convergent plate margins.
