Richard Pascoe is a senior lecturer in Minerals Engineering and Director of Education at the Camborne School of Mines. He has a degree in Mineral Technology from Imperial College, London and a PhD in Minerals Engineering from the University of Exeter. He is a chartered minerals engineer and a member of the IOM3 and the MES. Prior to joining CSM he had 10 years experience in the mining industry working on the processing of uranium, lead-zinc, tin and borates.

Research Interests
He has interests in a wide range of minerals engineering techniques including, comminution (HV breakage processes), automated sensor-based sorting, gravity concentration, froth flotation and magnetic separation. These techniques have been applied to both mineral and material separation (particularly plastics). He has used advanced mineralogical tools, such as QEMSCAN, to improve the understanding of separator performance.

Teaching Interests
Teaching interests include:
* Mineral processing
* Chemistry
* Hydrometallurgy
