Shahin Jalili is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science working on the Optimization of Transportation Networks. His research interests are in structural optimization, structural reanalysis, and transportation optimization. In the field of the structural optimization, he has developed a wide variety of optimization techniques for optimum design of structures, and the obtained results have been published in various scientific journals. In addition, he has served as a referee for several outstanding journals including Engineering Optimization, Applied Mathematical Modelling, Neural Computing Applications, Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration, Latin American Journal of Solids and Structures (LAJSS), and Transactions of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering.
