Mr Nick Sanders



I started my PhD in September 2016; my area of research is in Bayesian optimisation and surrogate modelling. My research focusses on developing novel acquisition functions to optimise designs that rely on regions of "good" performance (rather than a single point of optimal performance) in expensive black-box functions.

My first supervisor is Richard Everson, and my second supervisor is Jonathan Fieldsend.



I have been a workshop assistant for the modules ECM1413 Computers and the Internet, ECM1400 Programming, ECM1410 Object-oriented Programming, and ECM3420 Learning from Data.
